This is an urban oasis-like park with restaurants and museums operated by Noritake Company Limited.
Noritake Forest is a complex located in Noritake-Shinmachi, Nishi-ku, Nagoya, opened by Noritake Company Limited, a leading Japanese ceramic manufacturer, on the former site of a factory. The vast grounds are lined with red brick buildings and a spacious garden surrounded by beautiful greenery. There is a museum where you can learn about the history and manufacturing process of ceramics, and a craft center where you can watch artisans paint, allowing you to experience Japan's manufacturing culture.
Particularly popular is the painting experience, where you can make your own original ceramics. From children to adults, anyone can easily experience the fun of making ceramics and create a memorable piece of work. In addition, there are shops selling Noritake products, as well as cafes and restaurants on the premises, so you can enjoy shopping and dining.
Another attractive feature is its easy access within walking distance of Nagoya Station, and although it is located in the city center, it offers a healing space that combines rich nature, history, and art.
Admission is free.
If you are traveling by train, it is about a 15-minute walk from Nagoya Station, or a 5-minute walk from Exit 2 of Kamejima Station on the Higashiyama Subway Line.
