Mononobe Shrine of Iwami Province Ichinomiya

It is a splendid shrine of Iwami Province Ichinomiya with history and dignity.
The main enshrined deity is Umashimaji no Mikoto. Uma Shimaji no Mikoto is a deity that appears in the Kojiki and Nihon Shoki, and is said to have made a great achievement in Emperor Jimmu's expedition to the east.

Mononobe Shrine has long been revered as the god of both literary and military arts, repose of souls, and victory. In particular, it is famous as a god of requiem, and requiem ceremonies have been held in the palace since ancient times.

It is also a shrine where the Ouchi clan and the Mori clan prayed for victory during the Sengoku period.

It is located near National Route 375 heading from Oda City to Hiroshima Prefecture.
