The Higashi-Gohata Rice Terraces are famous for their impressive appearance at dusk, with the surface of the terraced paddies reflecting the setting sun against the backdrop of the Sea of Japan. They have been selected as one of the Top 100 Rice Terraces in Japan.

However, it is recommended to carefully choose the season, weather, and time of day when visiting to see the beautiful terraced rice fields. Since there are not a large number of rice fields, it may not be an impressive landscape.
