It is a castle ruin that is selected as one of the 100 best castles in Japan in Shinshiro City.
It is also famous as the site of the Battle of Nagashino, where Nobunaga Oda and Katsuyori Takeda fought.

Currently, there is no castle tower, and only part of the castle ruins such as stone walls remain.
