The landscape of red bricks and nameko wall remains. There are 7 sake breweries in the area.
During the Edo period, Saijo prospered as a stopover point for land routes, and with its favorable climate and groundwater for sake brewing, it became a major brewery.
Today, seven breweries, Kamoizumi Brewery, Kamotsuru Brewery, Kirei Brewery, Saijotsuru Brewery, Sanyotsuru Brewery, Shirobotan Brewery, and Fukubijin Brewery, continue to brew sake using traditional techniques.

Along the street, there is a retro atmosphere with red brick chimneys and namako walls. There are also many cafés and restaurants in renovated sake breweries, where you can enjoy sweets and dishes made with sake and sake lees.
