This is the cross section of Japan's highest lava flow with a height of 150m at Gandatekyo in Gero City, Gifu Prefecture. This is the cross section of Japan's largest lava flow formed by the lava flow of Mt. Ontake.
Gandatekyo is a lava plateau with a total length of approximately 17 km, formed by the lava flow of Mt. Ontake. Among them, a rock wall approximately 300m long and 50m high has been maintained as Gandate Park.

There are many waterfalls and hiking trails in the area.
There is an observation deck and a waterfall promenade where you can admire the impressive scenery of Gandate Gorge. Also within the park is Enku-do, which enshrines a statue of Fudo Myoo carved by Enku Shonin.
