This is a roadside station near Shirakawa-go. Many tourists visit this area as a base for accessing Shirakawa-go Gassho-zukuri village.
In addition to gassho-zukuri exhibits, there are restaurants and souvenir shops.

Gassho Museum is a facility that introduces the construction process and lifestyle by relocating gassho-zukuri houses.

The restaurant serves local dishes made with local ingredients, as well as Hida beef dishes.
