Kirigamine Plateau is a vast plateau located in the center of Nagano Prefecture, part of the Yatsugatake-Chūshin-Kogen Quasi-National Park. As its name suggests, it is often covered in a thick, dense fog, creating a fantastical misty landscape.
The gently sloping hills stretching from 1,600 to 1,900 meters above sea level are known as a treasure trove of alpine plants, and in summer, beautiful alpine plants such as day lilies and Renge Azaleas bloom in abundance, captivating visitors as they become a "flower paradise." In particular, boardwalks have been built in the Kurumayama Marsh and Yashimagahara Marsh, allowing visitors to get up close and personal with the precious plant life that is unique to marshes.

The greatest attraction of Kirigamine is its magnificent 360-degree panorama. From Kurumayama Kata and the summit of Kurumayama Kogen Ski Resort, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the famous Japanese mountains such as the Northern Alps, Central Alps, and Southern Alps, Mt.
