Sengokuhara Susuki Grassland is a vast area of ​​silver grass that spreads across Sengokuhara in Hakone. Especially in autumn, from late September to early November, the silver grass shines golden and sways in the wind, looking like an undulating sea, attracting visitors. This beautiful landscape has been selected as one of the "50 Scenic Spots of Kanagawa", and many tourists and photography enthusiasts visit as a seasonal feature of autumn in Hakone.

A promenade has been developed as a hiking trail in the silver grass field, and you can go up to the height of the silver grass and stroll through it. The experience of walking on a path surrounded by silver grass provides an extraordinary feeling that you cannot experience in the city, and refreshes your mind and body. At dusk, the silver grass is illuminated by the setting sun, creating an even more fantastical atmosphere.

Even when the silver grass is not in full bloom, the green grass field full of vitality spreads out in the season of fresh green leaves, and in winter, the withered silver grass creates a landscape that looks like a sumi-e painting.

From mid to late March, a mountain burn is held where Japanese silver grass is burned.

There is no parking nearby, so you will have to walk some distance. It is about a 7-minute walk from the nearest paid private parking lot. If you turn left from the paid parking lot, there is a temporary free parking lot (unpaved vacant lot) from September to November. It is not that far away from the paid parking lot, so if you don't mind the distance, this is a good choice. There are parking lot guide signs posted during this period.
