Located in Toyooka City, Hyogo Prefecture, the Naomi Uemura Adventure Museum is a memorial museum established to convey the achievements and spirit of world-renowned adventurer Naomi Uemura to future generations. Naomi Uemura accomplished many unprecedented adventures, such as climbing the highest peaks on all five continents and reaching the North Pole alone by dog sled, and was the first Japanese person to receive the People's Honor Award. This adventure museum vividly introduces the trajectory of his lifelong challenges through photos, videos, and the equipment he actually used.

Many valuable materials are exhibited in the museum, such as the dogsleds used in polar exploration and the climbing equipment used when climbing Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world.

There is also an experiential corner where you can experience Naomi Uemura's adventurous spirit, and it is visited by a wide range of people, from those who aspire to be adventurers to those who are just interested in adventure.

Donguri Base is a multi-purpose experience space within the Naomi Uemura Adventure Museum. In the log cabin-style building, which exudes the warmth of wood, in addition to the records of adventurers and their gear, there is also the White Ami Ami Mountain 5 Peaks, where you can reach the summit using a rope net, and the Elevest Wall, which feels like bouldering. There is also a library corner and an exploration journal workspace, making it a base for parents and children from small children to elementary and junior high school students to "plan" adventures while moving their bodies.

Outside, there is a climbing wall and 24 types of athletic items, so children can enjoy moving their bodies.

You can stay overnight at the campsite on the museum grounds by bringing your own tent. It is equipped with a kitchen, toilets, and a roofed rest deck, so even beginners can feel safe. At night, there is a night program where you can gather around a bonfire under the starry sky and look back on the videos and photos of adventurer Naomi Uemura. The next morning, you can enjoy a guided forest walk tour, which will awaken your sense of adventure while observing nature.
