Hasedera Temple is an ancient temple located in Kamakura, Kanagawa Prefecture, with a history of over 1,300 years since its founding. The principal image of the temple, the eleven-headed Kannon Bodhisattva, is known as one of the largest wooden Kannon statues in Japan, boasting a height of 9.18 meters, and attracts many worshippers. The temple stands on a hill overlooking Sagami Bay, and the temple grounds offer a panoramic view of Yuigahama and the Kamakura cityscape, and the beauty of the scenery is also a reason for its popularity.
