Shodoshima's rice terraces are impressive, with the famous "Yubune no Mizu'' water and the Senmaida rice fields downstream.
"Tubunomizu'' has been selected as one of the top 100 famous waters. At a room temperature of 16 degrees, 400 tons per day gushes out from under the rock at the west end of the precincts.

The water from the bathtub is rich in minerals such as calcium and magnesium, and its taste is said to be ``mellow and sweet.'' Additionally, the water from the bathtub is suitable for growing rice, contributing to the delicious rice grown in the Senmaida fields downstream.

Senmaida is a rice field on Shodoshima where water from a bathtub flows, and it consists of more than 200 terraced fields. Senmaida has a history of over 1300 years and is known as Japan's representative rice terrace.
