Nagahama Castle is a castle located in Nagahama City, Shiga Prefecture, which is connected to Toyotomi Hideyoshi.
The castle tower is a mock castle tower and has been turned into a museum.
Unfortunately, it was not selected as one of Japan's top 100 castles and Japan's top 100 castles. However, it is the first castle built by Hideyoshi, so it is a must-see for Hideyoshi fans.

It has been selected as one of Japan's top 100 cherry blossom viewing spots and is a popular spot for cherry blossom viewing in spring.

By the way, "Odanijo", which is also located in Nagahama City, has been selected as one of Japan's top 5 mountain castles, although it does not have a castle tower.
