The Nagi Vicaria Museum in Nagi Town, Okayama Prefecture, is a unique museum showcasing fossils discovered in strata dating back approximately 16 million years. The museum was named after the large number of fossils of the Vicaria, a type of shellfish that lived around the area at the time. Here, visitors can learn about Nagi Town's ancient history through exhibits on the geology and various other fossils, including the Vicaria.
