"Tonkatsu Wakaba" in Miyoshi City is a long-established restaurant that you should visit at least once if you like tonkatsu. The pork they use is from Hiroshima Prefecture, and is particularly characterized by the sweetness of the fat in the loin and the extraordinary tenderness of the fillet. It is unlikely that your expectations will be betrayed the moment you put it in your mouth. Honestly, you can feel the quality of the meat and the frying technique are solid.

The tonkatsu here has a thin and crispy batter! They do a good job of not interfering with the juiciness of the meat. I especially recommend the fillet cutlet, which is seriously soft. And the other side of Wakaba is the "Ankake Katsu". It looks rich and heavy, but to be honest, it's surprisingly light when you eat it. It's unique and I can see why there are so many repeat customers. The standard sauce is good, but I would definitely recommend trying this ankake.

The set meal comes with shredded cabbage and macaroni salad, which is a unique feature of a long-established restaurant (lol). The rice, which is produced in Miyoshi, is delicious and goes perfectly with the pork cutlet. The interior of the restaurant is clean and relaxing, so it's no wonder it's crowded with local customers. The only drawback is that it closes a little early, but it's definitely worth going for the taste.
