Kinuta Park in Setagaya, Tokyo is a metropolitan park that combines vast green space with art. It is easily accessible from the city center and is perfect for families and picnics.
Located in Setagaya Ward, Kinuta Park is a metropolitan park developed on the vast grounds of a former golf course. The vast grounds of approximately 390,000 square meters are filled with lush greenery, creating a sense of openness that is hard to believe in the city center. The spacious family park has a large lawn and a cycling course, and is crowded with people enjoying picnics and recreation. As you can enjoy nature in every season, it is a recommended spot for tourists who want to relax away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The park is also home to the Setagaya Art Museum, where you can enjoy art appreciation. The museum building itself is surrounded by greenery and designed to blend into the park's scenery. It is also known as a famous cherry blossom spot, and in spring, approximately 840 cherry trees, including Somei Yoshino, bloom in full bloom, attracting many cherry blossom viewers. The cherry blossoms along the Yato River in the family park are particularly spectacular, and Kinuta Park's unique charm is that you can enjoy cherry blossom viewing at eye level.

It is easily accessible, within walking distance of Yoga Station on the Tokyu Denentoshi Line. You can enjoy nature in any way you like, whether that be cycling, picnicking, or strolling. There are plenty of facilities for families to enjoy all day long, making it an oasis in the city where you can refresh yourself.
