Shiraishijima Beach has a white sandy beach about 500m long and boasts one of the clearest beaches in the Seto Inland Sea. The waves are calm, so even small children can swim safely. In the summer, it is crowded with many beachgoers, and the scenery of the blue sea and sandy beach attracts visitors.

Just before the beach, there are day-use facilities at Marine House Mikki and nearby guesthouses, where showers, changing rooms, and toilets are available (some for a fee). Marine sports such as sea kayaks, SUP, and windsurfing can be rented by prior reservation, so you can easily enjoy outdoor activities.

The view from the top of the mountain on the hiking trail is also wonderful.

The entire island is registered as a nationally designated place of scenic beauty, and we recommend strolling around the island in addition to swimming in the sea. During the Obon period in August, the nationally designated important intangible folk cultural property "Shiraishi Dance" is performed, and on the night of the 16th, lanterns are floated down the river, creating a fantastic landscape. Access is approximately 22 minutes by high-speed boat (approximately 35 minutes by regular boat) from Sumiyoshi Pier in Kasaoka Port.
