Suo Kokubunji is one of the Kokubunji temples built in Suo Province.
Located about a 10-minute walk from Hofu Tenmangu Shrine, this temple has a quiet and dignified appearance.

Inside the main hall, which is an important cultural property, there are many important cultural property Buddha statues lined up on the Shumidan. There is a charge to enter the main hall.

Kokubunji temples were built under the order of Emperor Shomu to spread Buddhism widely and stabilize the country.

Sokokubunji is Todaiji.
