Culture Creation! Closed school use old Uchisange Elementary School

It is the old Uchisange elementary school became closed down in 2001 at the top of the stone wall of Okayama Castle.

Currently, there are no permanent public exhibitions, and the school grounds and pool are mainly used as venues for art and local events. For example, for Okayama Art Summit 2025, the former Uchiyamashita Elementary School (school grounds and pool) will be used as an exhibition venue, and visitors can enter and view the exhibits during the day. During the special period when art works appear in the school grounds, the school and the castle town are gently connected.
