Uogataksou Auto Campsite in Asago City, Hyogo Prefecture, is located on the banks of the clear Ichikawa River and is an attractive riverside spot where you can enjoy the natural waterfall like a water slide.
Uogatakiso Auto Campsite is located in the Kurokawa Valley, surrounded by rich nature. The biggest attraction is playing in the river at Uogataki Falls, which is adjacent to the campsite. The 2m high waterfall can be used as a natural water slide, and you can even jump into the pool. Children and adults alike can enjoy exciting water play, so it is crowded with many families and young people in the summer. The Ichikawa River system has such good water quality that it is home to the giant salamander, a national special natural monument, and playing in the clear stream is exceptional.

The campsite is free for cars, so you can choose your spot relatively freely. It is also equipped with a cooking building and flush toilets, so even beginners can use it with peace of mind. Juice and alcohol are sold at the shop, but it is recommended to purchase food in advance. Open fires are prohibited, so bring a campfire stand with you.

It is relatively easy to access, about 20 minutes by car from Ikuno IC on the Bantan Link Road. If you want to get moving and have fun in the middle of nature, especially if you want to enjoy playing in the river, we recommend Uogatakiso Auto Campsite.

[Hidden Spot Information]
Ikuno Silver Mine, about a 20-minute drive from the campsite, is a place where you can visit the mine tunnels that were one of Japan's leading silver producers from the Edo period to the Meiji period. The inside of the building is cool throughout the year, making it a great place to stop by after playing in the river in the summer.

[Concerns]
Uogataki is a popular spot, so it gets very crowded, especially on weekends and during the summer holidays. Water slides and diving at the falls are also popular, but because it is a natural waterfall, it is slippery and you need to be careful of your footing. There are no changing rooms, so you need to prepare and devise a way to change clothes. There are no convenience stores or supermarkets nearby, so you need to buy the food and drinks you need in advance.
