Sentsuzan is a mountain with an altitude of 1,142m located on the border of Tottori and Shimane prefectures.
A stone monument of a sword is enshrined at the mountaintop as the place of the legend of the eight-headed serpent, Yamata no Orochi, which was exterminated by Susanoo no Mikoto.

There are three climbing routes: the general course on the Tottori side, the Kameishi course trailhead on the Shimane side, and the Torigami Falls trail trailhead.

If you park at the Waku Waku Pool parking lot on the Shimane Prefecture side, you will climb the paved road for about 30 minutes to the trailhead.
