Senjojiki's Tatsukushi is a natural art piece created by oddly shaped rocks that spreads across Ashizuri-Uwakai National Park. It is a spectacular sight that makes you feel the breath of the earth.
Tatsukushi, located in Tosashimizu City, Kochi Prefecture, is a group of strange rocks that look like sculptures, formed by alternating layers of sandstone and mudstone on the seabed, eroded by waves and weathering. In particular, the area known as "Senjojiki" is a vast flat rock formation with countless holes, grooves, and complex patterns engraved on its surface. These strange rocks are a museum created by nature, giving a sense of the changes of the earth and the eternal flow of time. The scenery changes with every walk, so viewers will never tire of it.

The scenery of Tatsukushi is designated as a special protection area of Ashizuri-Uwakai National Park, and its unique topography and geology are considered to be of high geological value. There is a promenade where you can take a walk while observing the strange rocks up close. You can also use the underwater museum and glass boat to view the beautiful coral and schools of tropical fish under the sea. The great attraction of Tatsukushi is that you can enjoy the nature of Tatsukushi from both land and underwater.

This is a precious place where you can feel the beauty of nature and the history of the earth. It is also a great spot for taking photogenic Instagram-worthy photos, and the unique scenery will make for a memorable shot of your trip. It is especially recommended for those interested in geology and nature.

It is about a 40-minute drive from Cape Ashizuri.

There are glass-bottom boats and other sightseeing boats.

[Hidden Spot]
If you go deeper into Senjojiki, you will find an area dotted with more complex and uniquely shaped rocks that not many people visit. In addition, Minokoshi Beach near the Tatsukushi Underwater Park Center is also a hidden spot where you can enjoy rare scenery that appears due to the ebb and flow of the tides.

[Useful Concerns]
The promenade is well maintained, but there are some places where you will be walking on rocks, so we recommend wearing non-slip shoes. You should be careful of your feet, especially after rain or when the tide is high. There are few places to block the sun, so in the summer, you should take measures such as wearing a hat, sunscreen, and staying hydrated. If you do not use the Underwater Museum or glass-bottom boat, you will only be able to view the rocks on land.
[Admission fee] Free (however, there is an additional charge for the Undersea Museum and glass-bottom boat)

[Opening hours] All day (free to wander around. We recommend visiting during daylight hours.)

[Closed days] None

[Parking] Free parking available near Tatsukushi Tourist Information Center (approximately 50 spaces)
