Roadside Station Mihara Shinmei-no-Sato in Mihara City, Hiroshima Prefecture, is a scenic spot along National Route 2. It is a roadside station where you can enjoy local specialties and gourmet food while looking out over the beautiful islands of the Seto Inland Sea.
Roadside Station Mihara Shinmei-no-Sato is located in Itosaki, Mihara City, Hiroshima Prefecture, and boasts excellent access as it is directly connected to the Mihara Bypass on the Sanyo Expressway. The biggest feature is the panoramic view of the Seto Inland Sea from the two-story facility. In particular, from the observation deck, you can see the sparkling sea surface and the beautiful view of the islands scattered there, which will soothe your tiredness from your drive. At dusk, you can also watch the romantic sunset sink into the sea.

The direct sales store in the facility has a wide selection of Mihara's specialty products. Mihara City, especially famous for its "Mihara Daruma," is also famous for octopus, and souvenirs made with fresh octopus and octopus gourmet that can only be tasted here are popular. At the restaurant, you can fully enjoy local flavors such as Mihara's specialty octopus tempura curry and seafood bowls made with plenty of Seto Inland Sea seafood. Freshly baked bread is also sold at the bakery, which is recommended for light meals.

There is also a large rest area, and you can eat the bento boxes and side dishes you purchased inside the building while looking at the view on the observation deck. The first EV/PHV charging station at a roadside station in Hiroshima Prefecture is also installed, making it convenient for environmentally conscious travelers. This is a must-visit roadside station for tourists who want to stop by Mihara sightseeing and see the beautiful scenery of the Seto Inland Sea.

[Trivia]
At the Mihara Shinmei-no-Sato roadside station, a "votive plaque hanging place" named after the legend of the "Mihara Daruma," the symbol of Mihara City, is installed on the observation deck on the second floor. You can purchase "Mihara Daruma and Votive Plaques" for sale on the first floor, write your wish on them, and hang them up. The Mihara Daruma is known as a lucky charm that prays for the safety and prosperity of your family.

[Hidden Spot Information]
The terrace seats behind the roadside station are a hidden spot where you can enjoy the view of the Seto Inland Sea up close.
