Eizan-ji Temple, which is located along the Yoshino River, a little east of Gojo City on Prefectural Route 39, has a national treasure Hakkakudo.
The interior of the Hakkakudo hall has wonderful mural paintings.

The temple bell (bonsho) is also designated as a national treasure.

The temple itself is not big, it is surrounded by trees, and there is no conspicuous mark at the entrance, so you might pass by it, but there is a directly managed store of Montbell Gojo next to the entrance. However, the appearance of the Montbell building looks like an old community center, so it's hard to tell at first glance.
