Shionomisaki is a cape protruding into the Pacific Ocean at the southern tip of the Kii Peninsula, with cliffs about 50 meters high. The Shionomisaki Lighthouse is a beautiful white lighthouse built on top of this cliff. It has been selected as one of the top 50 lighthouses in Japan.

The Shionomisaki Lighthouse is a historical and romantic lighthouse standing on the southernmost tip of Honshu.

Shionomisaki also has a lawn park.
