Sada Shrine is an ancient shrine with a history of over 1,500 years, which appears in the Izumo Fudoki as Sada Mikosha. It is one of the three major shrines in Izumo Province, and is famous for the Kamiari Festival, which is the most ancient in Izumo Province, and the Sada Shinno, which is registered as an intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO. The main deity is Sada Okami (the same deity as Sarutahiko Okami), who is deeply revered as a god of good luck, fortune, and guidance.

There is a myth that Sada Okami was born in a cave in Kakanokukedo in Kaga.
