There is a myth that Sada Okami was born in a cave in Kakanokukedo in Kaga.
The most distinctive feature of Sada Shrine is its rare shrine building style, which has three main halls lined up side by side: the Seichuden in the center, the Nanden on the left and the Kitaden on the right. These main halls are designated as important cultural properties of Japan, and their majestic appearance is worth seeing. In addition, within the grounds, there is a sub-shrine called Tanaka Shrine, where a shrine for "matchmaking" and "relationship breaking" are back to back, and many worshippers visit in search of various benefits.
In particular, in the tenth month of the lunar calendar (the month of the gods), it is said that eight million gods from all over the country gather in Izumo, and the Kamiari Festival is held at Sada Shrine. This is a must-visit place for those who want to experience ancient Shinto rituals in a solemn atmosphere, and those who are interested in Japanese mythology and history.
[Trivia]
While Izumo Taisha holds the "kamimukae" ceremony, Sada Shrine is known as a shrine that plays an important role in "kamisode" (sending off) the gods. In particular, the "Karasadesai" ceremony held on November 25th is a solemn Shinto ritual that has been continued for over 500 years.
