The main hall is an imposing structure measuring approximately 38m east to west, 23m north to south, and 26m high, making it one of the largest wooden buildings in eastern Japan. The mountain gate, called Sanmon, is also one of the largest in eastern Japan, measuring approximately 20m high, 15m wide, and 10m deep.
Kai Zenkoji Temple is also known as a temple associated with Takeda Shingen. The main hall houses the Zenkoji Nyorai Mikage, which is said to have been donated by Takeda Shingen. In addition, in front of the temple gate stands a statue of Takeda Shingen on horseback.
[Hidden Spot]
When you clap your hands under the giant dragon painting on the ceiling of the Kondo, the sound of the "crying dragon" echoes throughout the area, surprising everyone with its mysterious phenomenon. In addition, the "Okaidan Meguri" tour of the pitch-black passageway beneath the Kondo floor is a mystical experience that is said to connect you to the Buddha. By walking through the darkness, you can feel the depth of your faith through your five senses.
