The greatest attraction of Oide Suspension Bridge in Hakuba Village, Nagano Prefecture, is its picturesque suspension bridge spanning the clear waters of the Himekawa River and the magnificent view of the Hakuba Sanzan (Dake Shirouma, Dake Shakushi, and Dake Yari-ga-take) towering in the background. In spring, the lone cherry tree at the foot of the bridge and the Hakuba Sanzan mountains capped with lingering snow create a truly picturesque scene. This time of year is particularly popular with tourists and photographers, and it's known as one of Hakuba Village's most scenic spots.

Across the bridge is Oide Park, with its spacious lawn and gazebo. From the park, you can enjoy views of both the bridge and the Hakuba Sanzan mountains, making it a recommended spot for those looking to relax and enjoy the scenery. In autumn, the mountains are dyed in fiery red leaves, creating a fantastical landscape completely different from the spring scenery.

The wooden suspension bridge, built in 1930, was replaced with a steel bridge in 1997.
