To reach the temple grounds, cross Takao Bridge over the Kiyotaki River and climb the long stone steps. The temple grounds are lined with buildings rich in history, including the Kondo Hall, which houses the Yakushi Nyorai statue, a designated National Treasure, and a beautiful pagoda. Another highlight is the Akakai well, which provides water for offerings to the Yakushi Nyorai statue.
