Fukuokaya, located in Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture, is a long-established shop popular for its Japanese sweets made with fresh local ingredients. Their "Strawberry Daifuku," available only from winter to spring, is so famous it's even featured on television and in magazines, drawing many customers. Fukuokaya's strawberry daifuku is made with fresh, large strawberries sourced directly from local farmers, wrapped in subtly sweet white bean paste and soft, chewy mochi rice cakes.
With one bite, the sweet and tart taste of the strawberry and the gentle sweetness of the white bean paste fill your mouth, creating an addictive balance.
Strawberry daifuku is only available during strawberry season, from December to May.

In addition to strawberry daifuku, they also sell a variety of other sweets, including seasonal Japanese sweets like "grape daifuku," as well as classic dorayaki and dango. Each one has a gentle flavor that evokes the warmth of handmade craftsmanship.
