Shukaen, a long-established Onomichi ramen restaurant, closed its main store in June 2019. Currently, Chukasoba Shu, which opened nearby and continues to serve the same flavor as the main store, is in business.
中華そば 朱は、かつて多くのラーメンファンを魅了した創業者 朱さんの奥様が娘さんが、その味とメニューをそのままに引き継いでオープンしたお店です。看板メニューは「中華そば」で、鶏ガラをベースに瀬戸内の小魚の旨味を凝縮した醤油スープに、豚の背脂のコクが加わり、見た目とは裏腹にあっさりとしていながらも深い味わいを持ちます。自家製の平打ち麺は、スープによく絡み、もちもちとした食感が特徴です。
