The Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Nature and Humanity (commonly known as Hitohaku) has the theme of "Coexistence between Humans and Nature." Its exhibits are broadly divided into three themes: "Earth and Life," "Humanity," and "Nature and Society."

The "Earth and Life" exhibits explore the history of the Earth and the evolution of life.

The "Humanity" exhibits explore human history and culture.

The "Nature and Society" exhibits explore the relationship between nature and humans.

The museum displays carefully selected items from its collection of over one million, ranging from Hyogo's topography, ecology, and minerals to dinosaur fossils. With a learning corner where you can touch specimens and extensive seminars by researchers, visitors of all ages can enjoy a continuous stream of discoveries. Dinosaur models and original merchandise are available at the shop at the entrance.

On weekends, the popular "Hitohaku Dinosaur Lab" allows visitors to observe fossil cleaning work through glass. The adjacent new building, the "Collectionarium," is free and a must-see spot offering a glimpse "behind the scenes" of the museum's vast collection.

The grassy area of Fukada Park outside the museum is perfect for a short break, and the architectural exterior and Shingu Susumu's outdoor artworks are also photogenic.

The museum does not have its own parking lot, so visitors must use the nearby AEON Mita store (free for four hours) or a nearby paid parking lot.
