A seaside bathing restaurant overlooking Saiki Bay. A hidden local spot perfect for road trips, where you can enjoy a "natural seawater bath" made with boiled seawater and the famous seafood bowl all at once.
The salt bath boasts mineral-rich water, made by filtering and heating seawater pumped directly from the ocean. Soaking in the large public bath, open-air bath, or waterfall bath, combined with the sea breeze, creates a soothing sensation, as if "melting into the sea." After your bath, head to the on-site restaurant. Enjoy a variety of Saiki seafood at affordable prices, including a seafood bowl piled high with sashimi delivered directly from the fishing port and a salt bath set meal. The post-bath "salt bath soft serve" is also popular.
Private family baths are available by reservation. The facility is simple yet clean, and you can cool off in the rest area overlooking the ocean. As a cash-only, locally run establishment, the relaxed atmosphere of mingling with locals adds to the travel experience.
The deck in front of the bath and the coastal road are ideal for taking sunset photos. The surrounding area offers a refreshing coastal drive along National Route 217, making the location easy to incorporate into excursions from the Beppu and Oita areas.
[Useful Concerns]
The bath is not a hot spring, but heated seawater.
