This complex, centered around the CLT pavilion "Kaze no Ha," designed and supervised by Kengo Kuma, allows visitors to experience the nature and sustainability of Hiruzen. It houses a museum, shops, and activities. This is a new landmark of Hiruzen, opened in 2021.
The semi-outdoor pavilion, "Kaze no Ha," is constructed by weaving together sheets of CLT (cross-laminated timber) and steel frames. The light and breeze filtering through the ETFE membrane create a pleasant photo spot, allowing visitors to experience a new sense of distance between nature and architecture. The facility also houses the Hiruzen Museum, showcasing Kengo Kuma's architectural materials and contemporary art, as well as a shop promoting sustainable living.

With views of the Hiruzen Mountains across the lawn, the location is ideal for strolls or family breaks. The abundance of outdoor and semi-outdoor spaces makes it an attractive spot, unaffected by weather. The museum hosts special exhibitions year-round and offers programs connecting the local community, nature, and education. It's a perfect fit for a wide range of itineraries, from architecture enthusiasts and art fans to a stop on a Hiruzen drive.

[Trivia]
The "Kaze no Ha" pavilion combines CLT (cross-laminated timber) panels and ETFE membrane to create a light environment reminiscent of sunlight filtering through the trees in a forest. It's a rare example of architecture relocated from the city to the countryside.
