Located directly in front of the west exit of Okayama Station, this urban museum is located on the 4th and 5th floors of the south wing of the Litt City Building, directly connected to the east-west connecting corridor. With few steps from the station and easy access, the museum's appealing location makes it an ideal stop-off point for travelers. Its concept is "conveying Okayama's history and present to future generations." It showcases a wide range of topics, from the region's nature and lifestyle to art and craftsmanship, making it a beloved hub for connecting with future generations.

Permanent exhibitions cover themes such as "Okayama's Nature," "Okayama Castle Town," and "Craftsmanship by the People of Okayama," as well as the "Ko-Bizen Kimura Collection," which systematically introduces old Bizen ware, and a section focusing on children's author Tsubota Joji and Okayama, condensing the charms of the region. The museum also features the "Okayama Air Raid Exhibition Room," which conveys memories of the war, and is characterized by its deeply educational exhibits.

Special seasonal exhibitions are held, featuring interactive art and exhibitions by popular artists. In the summer of 2025, the "Magical Museum" will be held, where visitors can enjoy hands-on activities, and there will also be opportunities to take photos and videos.
