Mitarai is located in Osaki Shimojima, Hiroshima Prefecture, and is designated as an important preservation district for groups of traditional buildings in Yutakamachi Mitarai.
By car, you can go from Kure City to Osaki Shimoshima by crossing the Akinada Ohashi Toll Road, Shimokamagarijima, Kamikamagarijima, and Teshima.

There is a beautiful stone breakwater on the sea.

If you drive up to Hill Park with a view of history, you can see the beautiful townscape of Mitarai and the islands of the Seto Inland Sea. It is also recommended as a date spot.

There are not many places to eat or cafes, but there is a cafe called Wakacho, which uses a boathouse. (Open only on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays) There are also design miscellaneous goods shops made by young people. This is also open only on Saturdays and Sundays.

The Akinada Bridge toll road costs 1,440 yen for a round trip, but the scenery from the many bridges and the coastal scenery is very pleasant to drive on a sunny day.
