Each work is independent, and there are a total of seven houses: Kadoya, Minamidera, Kinza (reservations required), Goojinja, Ishibashi, Gokaisho, and Haisha. Each has a different concept and expression that draws the viewer in deeply. In particular, there are many works that stimulate the five senses, such as the experience of a pitch black space at Minamidera and the underground passage at Goojinja.

If you stroll through the back alleys between each work, you can get a feel for the lives of local residents. There are also unique cafes and other galleries scattered around, so it's a good idea to include a break at a cafe as part of your art appreciation.

The area of ​​the Art House Project can be easily covered on foot, but it is essential to take measures against heat stroke during the hot summer months. Also, since it is far from the Benesse House Museum and Tsuchiura Port, we recommend using a shuttle bus or renting an electric bicycle.
