The Southern Alps Abt System Train is the only Abt System train in Japan, and runs on a section of the Oigawa Railway Ikawa Line. In order to climb steep gradients, a second toothed rail (rack rail) is laid in the center of the rail, and it meshes with the locomotive's gears to run, a special method that is rare even in the world. The carriages are colorful and have a retro atmosphere, and you can enjoy the beauty of the mountain valleys at your leisure, so it is popular not only with railway fans but also with many tourists.

The train passes through Okuoikojo Station, known as a hidden station, and you can experience the thrill of crossing over the emerald green Sesso Lake.
