Daisen Park and Japanese gardens are located next to the Mozu Kofun Group, a World Heritage Site. With seasonal flower scenery and a beautiful pond, this is one of Sakai's top tourist spots, perfect for strolling, photography, and family outings.
Daisen Park, located near the Emperor Nintoku Tomb, is Sakai's symbolic park, blending vast green spaces with history. The spacious lawns and pondside promenades offer a relaxing time, with cherry blossoms in spring, fresh greenery in early summer, and stunning autumn foliage. Everyone from families to couples can enjoy a relaxing time. The park is also dotted with museums and teahouses, making it a popular base for learning about and relaxing around the ancient tombs.

The park's authentic Japanese garden features a strolling pond. The scenery changes with every step, from the borrowed scenery reflected on the water's surface, the rhythm of the gaze created by bridges and stepping stones, to the carp swimming from gazebos and fishing pavilions. Enjoy tea ceremonies and original souvenirs in the garden, offering a Japanese experience beyond just a stroll.

Sakai City Museum, located within Daisen Park, is a comprehensive museum of Sakai's history. It features a theater where you can experience the power of the Mozu Tomb Group through video, as well as exhibits on excavated artifacts and materials related to trade, firearms, and the tea ceremony in medieval Sakai. The park also houses the Shinan teahouse.

By visiting the Emperor Nintoku Tomb and the visitor centers and tourist information centers of the Mozu-Furuichi Kofun Group, you can efficiently enjoy Sakai's history and the beauty of its gardens.
