Imanishi Sake Brewery is a long-established sake brewery located at the foot of Mt. Miwa in Sakurai City, Nara Prefecture, known as the birthplace of sake. While protecting its 350-year-old traditions, it is pursuing new possibilities for sake.
Miwa is home to Ogami Shrine, where the god of sake brewing has been enshrined since ancient times, and has a deep history and culture as the birthplace of sake. Imanishi Sake Brewery continues to carefully brew sake, taking advantage of the area's blessed nature and pure underground water. In particular, their flagship brand, "Mimurasugi," attracts many sake fans with its high quality and rich flavor.
On a tour of the brewery, you can see the sake brewing process up close, experience the world of sake through all five senses, such as washing the sake rice and the aroma of the fermenting mash. In addition, at the directly managed shop, you can purchase rare sake that can only be found here, such as freshly pressed limited edition sake and seasonal limited edition sake.
You can experience the sake brewery tour and sake tasting experience by making a reservation. Details are posted on the official website.
On the Miwa approach to the shrine, there is the "Imanishi Sake Brewery Ogami Shrine Approach Store," which is popular for its sake soft serve ice cream.
